WHO IS THIS SERVICE FOR?

This service is designed for tour operators, companies organizing high-altitude trekking and expeditions, trekking or expedition groups, and individual clients – including high-altitude trekkers, mountaineers, Himalayan climbers, and mountain runners.

As part of this service, a physician participates in the expedition and provides full medical care to all participants.

MEDICAL CARE INCLUDES:

➤ Telemedical Expedition Package for all expedition participants

➤ Field Training – Rescue and Survival in High Mountains for expedition participants (before or during the expedition)

➤ Daily health assessment of all participants to enable quick response to any irregularities

➤ 24/7 medical care for all expedition members

➤ Oversight of the implementation of acclimatization plans, oxygen support plans, medical coverage, and summit attempt logistics

➤ Preparation of an evacuation plan for any injured or ill participant, including further medical care steps in the country of the expedition and in Poland

MEDICAL CARE PROVIDED BY:

Dr Robert Szymczak, MD, PhD

Specialist in emergency, high-altitude and expedition medicine. He has summited Mount Everest (8,848 m), Nanga Parbat (8,126 m), and Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and has participated in six expeditions to 8,000-meter peaks, including three winter expeditions. He was also a physician and a trainer for the Polish National Himalayan Mountaineering Team.

The company was established in 2004. The goal of MedEverest is education in the field of mountain medicine and the dangers of high altitudes. I deal with all medical aspects of staying at high altitude. I organize medical support for trekking and high-altitude expeditions.
